TURANDOT
TORRE DEL LAGO - Puccini Great Theater -
Amadi Lagha A.L. Immediately gained the favor of the audience with his ringing timbre and defined vocality. In the acute part of the “tessitura”, with the sounds excellently projected and without any forcing, he played with the acute taking pleasure and giving it to the audience. Calaf is a cruel character, who pursues his own love madness and omnipotence delirium leading to the death of many people, including Liu, and having the courage to flirt with Tourandot shortly after Liu’s death. Lagha tryes to make him more “human”, following the idea of the director and knowing that the story is a psychological fairytale with strong psychological nuances. He wins, not only for the triumph of “None shall sleep” (in Italian “Nessun Dorma”) but because he makes everything appear easy and natural both vocally and scenically.

Amadi Lagha’s Manrico has a high, ringing and sure register that he has expressed not only in the C of the first but also in the D flat with the soprano at the end of act one.

CARMEN
With a vigorous and generous voice, the Franco-tunisian tenor Amadi Laugha Interprets the character of Don José by opting for a singing all centred on energy.
The result is a reliable Don José, in his dimension of desperate and furious lover.

BOHEME
Amadi Lagha in the role of Rodolfo was not exactly a surprise, since I had listened to him and appreciated him in a singing competition just over a year ago; I was therefore very pleased to find the young French tenor on an altogether important stage. Lagha, who replaced Leonardo Caimi, has brought to light a beautiful tone of full-bodied lyrical tenor, warm, typically Mediterranean, softly emitted, generous in the positive sense of the term, as it is prone to occur in half voices, muffled (beautiful on Si B flat of "chi son?" in "Che gelida manina" sung in tone), without being intimidated by the show of bold highs. The interpreter is a good phraser, involved, attentive and reactive, an actor born with a sometimes overflowing personality: a young Rodolfo, physically very fit for the role "

Amadi Lagha in Rodolfo is probably the revelation of the evening, with a clear voice and a luminous timbre that play perfectly in the vast nave: it has the color of the bel canto tenor, with impeccable control and a style already dominated, in addition to a real commitment.
